Engagement Session: Christina & Tom

Like This!Sunday evening was a scorcher in downtown Newark, Delaware.  Christina and Tom braved the heat and showed up looking fabulous for their engagement shoot!  The couple chose the University of Delaware because this is where they first met.  Through out the shoot they enlightened me with the stories of their friendship.  They were actually never together as a couple while in school.  It wasn’t until after they graduated that the friendship grew into true love.  Synthes Spine, the company Tom worked for, sent him down to Maryland for work and so Christina met him afterward and the rest as they say is history!

The middle of the shoot we took a moment to get out of the heat so we ventured over to the infamous Grotto Pizza for a Gelato.  (The difference between a Gelato and American ice cream is the Gelato does not contain as much air so the flavor is more intense.)  They decided that it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t enjoy one as well so they bought me a kid’s size since I was already pretty full from the big Sunday dinner I ate right before the session.  They know a way to a girls heart…ice cream!

Check out the selection of my favorites below!

Christina and Tom have booked me to shoot their wedding next May!  I am honored to have been selected to capture their day.  I look forward to sharing more of their story.

Thanks for reading!
