Wedding Moments: Samantha & Aaron 2010-07-17

FaceTweet it!My last installment went over the most important details to be captured during a wedding.  This post is going to focus on the harder of the two and that is to capture those important moments.  There are the big ones such as:  Father/Daughter hug/kiss, First look for the Bride, First look for the Groom, The Kiss, First Dances, Toasts/Speeches, Flower/Garter Toss, Cake cutting.  I wouldn’t say these are too difficult to capture as they are pretty much going to happen at every wedding (give or take others involved with different beliefs…ie Jewish Ceremonies).  It’s those in between moments that are so elusive to us all.  I shoot in a photojournalistic style which means I try to blend in and certainly be unobtrusive.  When they see the camera the moment has passed.  I am an observer constantly watching, ready in anticipation for the right moment to click the shutter.  The lens that gives me the best opportunity to do this is my Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 VR.  I also enjoy my Nikon 85mm 1.4 and Nikon 105mm 2.8 VR in certain situations as well.  Here are the best ones I shot from Samantha & Aaron’s big day.

Thank you for reading!
