Wedding: Karen & Ehren 2010-08-07

FaceTweet it!

My good friend, Jason Prezant, invited me to co-pilot for him on his latest wedding of Karen and Ehren on August 7th, which took place in downtown Philadelphia.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous for the couple and their bridal party as we took a 1.5 hour ride around the city getting formals taken at all their favorite stops including, Boat House Row, The Art Museum Steps and their favorite bar, The Bishop’s Collar.  I assisted primarily with the lighting but tried to snap a few photojournalistic shots when I wasn’t needed.  I’m not much for doing the formals shoots but it was pretty fun being driven around the city of Philly to see all the sites.  It was awesome to revisit the Art Museum Steps as this is where my husband proposed to me  just before he took me to the Eagles Game back in September of 2007.

The ceremony and reception were held at the Philadelphia Marriott downtown.  This was my first time covering a wedding in this venue and it was a top notch place to have a reception.  The hall was huge allowing for a massive dance floor and an 8 piece band.  The band, Rich Posmontier Ensemble, had the whole room up and grooving.  At one point everyone picked up their spatulas like microphones and sang along with the band to the classic Meatloaf/Ellen Foley duet “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.”  They played a wide range of music from classics of the 60’s to today’s top hits.  They were so cool they allowed the Best Man to accompany them on his harmonica.  By the end of the song the band was giving him applause as he played like he was part of the band.  At times I just wanted to put down the camera and join in on the fun.  Check out their website HERE to get more info.  Hands down I would have them at every wedding I photographed!

Here are my favs from the day:
